The Barn Staff

Our year- around staff is experienced in guiding riders of all levels and disciplines. They skillfully train and initiate riders weekly in all areas of riding, horsemanship and safety.
Although we all have our riding preferences, we are open to new learning opportunities, and we strive to constantly improve our program through continuing education for our staff.
Several of our staff have attended the Parelli Center in Ocala, Florida.
All our staff are schooled and experienced in Western Riding and in the Bud Williams Stockmanship method.
While all most of our staff rides Western (on a regular basis), on occasions we also have seasonal staff schooled in English riding, jumping and dressage. Some of our seasonal staff members have attended renowned riding schools in US, England and other countries.

Our horses

We own a string of excellent and safe horses to accommodate all riding levels year around.  These are not nose to tail horses, but quality mounts that are well taken care of, used to this challenging country and ridden by different riders on a regular basis. Typically our horse to rider ratio is 3:1; so these horses get plenty of rest to stay conditioned, even during our busiest time of the year.

Our Barn, Saddles, Arena, Trucks and Trailers

  • The Hideout takes pride in our clean barn and saddle room. We have a fine selection of well kept Western saddles and tack.
  • We have both inside and outside work arenas. The outside arena is equipped with an automatic sprinkling system to control dust.
  • Our guests and horses are transported to the beautiful, challenging high country in our well maintained trucks and Featherlite trailers. We assure safety and reliability for our guests and horses by conscientious equipment service and yearly safety inspections.
